Paul Broadbent

Paul Broadbent always led from the front, becoming one of the most respected front row forwards in the game. Known for his honest approach, on and off the field he played with power and skill. He took the ball up, did the hard work and then created the opportunities from which games were won. From playing for Castleford Lock Lane, through to being a Great Britain international Paul achieved huge amounts. He had the honour of captaining the team for the Challenge Cup Final in 1998 and for many one of the abiding memories of that day is the image of Paul lifting The Cup high in celebration.
