2010

Mitchell Stringer

A raw talent from Barnsley, shaped by the Eagles. A strong, bustling prop with a powerful running style and deceptive break, who was also a goal kicker.

A close away game against Dewsbury to continue an unbeaten run. The scores went backwards and forwards with Mitch scoring one try and three goals, one of which was a penalty towards the end of the game to secure the victory.

2011

Peter Green

"We all need a team of Peter Greens" sang the fans. Ever reliable second row forward, whose massive work rate was the platform for the rest of the team.

In front of 1,223 spectators at Bramall Lane the home side dominated possession against Halifax, running in eight tries. The Eagles secured a 50-12 victory and a place in the Elimination final for the second year running. Watch Peter Green play a key role.

2012

Quentin Laulu-Togaga'e

The Samoan fullback linked with the Eagles for over 10 years. Renowned for try saving tackles, stepping around players and scoring memorable tries.

After losing heavily to Featherstone in the 2011 Grand Final the Eagles weren't the favourites to win when they reached the Grand Final again in 2012. A real team performance saw the Eagles win the second time around 20-16. Watch QLT score a key try.

2013

Dominic Brambani

A halfback at the heart of some of the biggest games of the second Eagles era. He marshalled the team, scored tries and was an ever reliable goal kicker.

Sheffield created history by being the first team to be back to back Grand Final winners. Coming from behind to triumph in the ultimate game of two halves winning the game 19-12. Watch Dom's man of the match performance at the heart of the game.

2014

Misi Taulapapa

The Samoan winger and centre was another mercurial talent. Powerful in defence, devastating in attack, games came alive when he got the ball.

A season of poor home form but this 28-12 away victory meant that Sheffield had the second double of their season against. At that point they were fifth in the league, seven points above the drop zone. Watch Misi score two tries to help seal the win.

Pat Walker

The halfback became an integral part of the success of the Club in the 2010s. An influential playmaker, a goal kicker and his kicking game was second to none.

Cory Aston

An Academy graduate - the halfback's influence grew each time he returned to the Club. Known for his turn of pace, goal kicking and ability to steal the ball.

Simon Brown

Hugely influential halfback, known for his kicking game, goal kicking, and ability to turn games, leading to some of the most memorable wins.

Matty Fozard

The pacy hooker was always able to find gaps at the play the ball, creating space for others or burrowing over the try line where there seemed no way through.

Anthony Thackeray

One of the Club's most influential players of the 2020s, a halfback who scored and created tries out of nowhere, particularly from his kicking game.
