Chris Noble MBE
Chris Noble MBE was a long term sponsor of the Sheffield Eagles before joining the Board of the Club in 1999. This was as part of the group that helped set up the new Sheffield Eagles following the merger with Huddersfield. He became Chair of the Club in 2017, taking over from Ian Swire. This was a difficult time for the Club having returned to part time, after one season of full time, as well being in the middle of the nomadic period without a home ground in Sheffield. Chris provided stability and guidance through this period, helping secure the return to the City at the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park. Chris stepped down as Chair in 2022 but was then appointed Club President. Chris is a familiar face at Eagles’ games and is a huge advocate not just for Sheffield Eagles but Rugby League as a whole. In 2011 he was instrumental in staging the Pride Cup - a game dedicated to tackling homophobia, a first in Rugby League.
