Richard Pepper
Richard was originally added to the Hall of Fame in 2009 before being moved to the Roll of Honour when that was launched for his role as the Club's statistician since it first began.
Richard Pepper
Richard Pepper has made a unique contribution to The Club for over 35 years. He was a pupil at Castleford Grammar School with Gary Hetherington and offered his help when The Club was in the development stage, bringing his skills and experiences from an accountancy background. Richard has taken on many roles for The Club including a spell as a director. From the first whistle he has been The Club's official timekeeper and game statistics collector and has probably seen more Eagles' games than anybody else connected to The Club. It all adds up to a great contribution to the Sheffield Eagles that perhaps many don’t realise. The statistics he collects helps The Club in their post match analysis and as part of the Rugby League Record Keepers’ Club he ensures the playing records and match details are available to access through their website. If there is anything anyone wants to know about The Club’s history then Richard is one of the people to talk to having also co-written the history of the first 10 years of the Sheffield Eagles – “Against the Odds”.
